About Welsh-Voice.com

Every 5 years we, the Welsh public, get to vote for one of 4 main parties (plus a few smaller and regional parties). Those we vote in never seem to keep to their promises and the honeymoon period is soon over, our elected officials starting to behave like 'politicians'.

Many people feel that they have no say in local or national issues and some resort to dressing up as batman and scaling the roof of parliament - for all the good it does their cause. As a result of this feeling of being ignored many people join pressure groups and political lobby groups of various kinds, from Greenpeace and CND to the BNP or the Monster Raving Looney Party. That is a form of "direct action".

This website is not a political group, not a pressure group and we are not interested nor involved in any "direct action". We have no affiliation with anyone, we are not 'angry' about anything and we are not protesting about anything.

This website allows anyone in Wales to join and to propose topics that everyone can then vote upon (or at least those interested enough to get on-line and join us). The results of those votes are then sent to local politicians, newspapers, TV and radio (plus anyone else who wishes to see the results) in the hope that these people will take note of how the local population feels about certain issues.

Obviously no-one in a position of power or influence is duty bound to listen to the results of such surveys, we can only hope that they will. If enough people vote, within local constituencies, then our local politicians would be foolish to ignore the results.

Welsh-Voice.com is here to let the people speak.

The owners and operators of the site DO NOT try and influence proposed questions nor anyone's viewpoint, we are only passionate about the right of individuals to do so. We do not influence voting or skew any results. If you don't like some of the questions listed, suggest your own or vote against those you don't like - and encourage your friends and family to do likewise.

Everyone has the right to propose questions (subject to verification and terms), no matter if they seem racist, sexist, nationalist or downright loopy. Tolerance of other people's viewpoints is important in a democracy.
